A special meeting today of the Copperas Cove City Council will involve a closed executive session.

The meeting agenda describes the session as “regarding search and selection of a City Manager, the interim process to include evaluation of applications and possible interviews of potential interim city manager candidate(s).”

The agenda item also notes the council members will “deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee — Interim City Manager (Ryan) Haverlah.”

The council members will consult with the city’s legal council on the matters, then reconvene in open session to discuss and take possible action to select, appoint and/or reassign an interim city manager.

The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at the Technology Center, 508 S. Second St.
