COPPERAS COVE — The city of Copperas Cove is accepting applications to fill a position on the Cove Economic Development Corporation board of directors.

Kevin Keller, public information officer for the city, said the seat position belonged to Billie Pederson, who resigned for personal reasons.

The board consists of five members, appointed to three-year terms, and meets monthly on the third Thursday.

The Herald asked the city for Pederson’s resignation date, but did not receive a reply as of Thursday evening.

Applications are available at 914 S. Main St., Suite C, or on the city website, www.copperascovetx.gov under “Online Resources,” “Forms and Applications.” The position vacancy will be advertised through May 13. Completed applications must be submitted to the office of the City Secretary Lucy Aldrich by the submittal deadline, May 23 at 5 p.m., for consideration.
