Three incumbent members of the Copperas Cove Independent School District’s Board of Trustees filed Monday to run for re-election in the Nov. 6 election.

Trustee President Joan Manning and members Doug Cook and Mike Wilburn turned in paperwork to run for the board’s third, fourth and fifth seats. Monday marked the first day candidates could file to run at the district’s main administrative office.

School board trustees for the Cove district are elected to three-year terms. There are no limits on how many terms the members can serve.

The deadline for candidates to file to run for the Cove school board is Aug. 26. Early voting for the election will begin Oct. 21.
