Central Texas College will host its annual Take Back the Night event to raise awareness about domestic violence at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Anderson Campus Center.

Guest speakers for the event are Barbara Stephens of the Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program and Ana Pickens-Scruggs, a counselor with the Military and Family Life organization.

Representatives from other local service agencies including Families in Crisis and Cove House will be available to offer guidance and education and resources in the fight against domestic abuse and violence against women and children. Counselors in the CTC Mental Health Services department will be on hand. Free and confidential HIV testing will be offered.
