A Killeen businessman is hoping to unseat four-term incumbent John Fisher from the Precinct 4 seat on the Bell County Commissioners Court.

Democrat Louie Minor announced his bid for commissioner Saturday at the Bell County Democratic Women’s Meeting. Minor is the first opponent to emerge to challenge Fisher, who already has filed for re-election.

“I am tired of a reactive approach to county government,” Minor said in a news release. “I want to be proactive to the needs of our county residence from everything to property taxes, jobs and quality of life. Bell County will be the best county to live, work and play in the entire state”
