The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality reported Friday that water supplied by Kempner Water Supply Corporation exceeded the state limit of the water treatment chemical trihalomethane.
Residents of Kempner, Lampasas and Salado may have received water containing an excess of the chemical, which is a byproduct of the chlorine used in the water treatment process.
