Youngsters ages 8 to 17 can take free airplane rides starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Skylark Field, formerly the Killeen Municipal Airport.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon at the Genesis-Aero Hanger, 1505 Stonetree Drive, Killeen.

Adults must bring proof showing they are the child’s biological or adoptive parent or legal guardian and sign the Young Eagle Flight Release Form.

Participants’ names will be entered in the Young Eagles Log Book at EAA Headquarters in Oshkosh, Wis. Go to www.youngeagles.org/logboob.

Chapter 542, Experimental Aircraft Association, is headquartered in Killeen and supports the Fort Hood area and cities near the airports of Temple, Gatesville, Lampasas and Skylark Field in Killeen.
