The Greater Killeen Free Clinic was awarded a grant by the Breast Cancer Survivors Foundation to fund free screening mammograms for low-income, uninsured women ages 40 and older.

To schedule an appointment, call the Free Clinic at (254) 618-4211.

The program is in partnership with Metroplex Hospital.

Also, the clinic, in partnership with the Killeen ISD Athletics Department, will offer UIL sports physicals from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at Charles Patterson Middle School.

The cost is $25, cash only. Students must pick up a UIL packet from their school coaches and bring the completed forms to the physical. They should wear gym shorts and flip flops.

The clinic provides medical services to uninsured adults and children living in Killeen and surrounding communities. The clinic is at 718 N. Second St.
