A free “Concert in the Park” is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Carl Levin Park, as three bands from Harker Heights and Ellison high schools will perform. Music genres will range from classic rock to gospel, said Councilman Pat Christ. Vendors will sell food and drinks. Concert-goers are advised to bring blankets and chairs, or sit in bleachers.

The Knights of the Roundtable, a group of Harker Heights students and city officials, are sponsoring the event. The park is at 400 Miller’s Crossing.
