Killeen is offering residents free Saturday curbside collection of bulky trash in April as part of the Killeen Up! initiative. Collection is in addition to regular weekday pick up.

Residents may place bulky items such as brush, furniture, appliances, boxes, and car and pick-up truck tires up to 22 inches at curbside to be picked up for free. Items should be placed at curbside no earlier than 6 p.m. the Friday before and no later than 7 a.m. the Saturday of the scheduled special collection.

Collection schedule:

  • Saturday: For residents with Monday pick up.
  • April 13: For residents with Tuesday pick up.
  • April 20: For residents with Thursday pick up.
  • April 27: For residents with Friday pick up.

This collection does not include large truck and tractor tires, rock, dirt, deceased animals or liquid waste. Household hazardous waste materials such as pesticides, paint, oil, chemicals or batteries are prohibited. A full list of household hazardous waste is available at
