Gilmore senior center announces activities

The Bob Gilmore Senior Center plans the following activities for the week.

“The Butler” begins at 12:15 p.m. today. Popcorn will be served to all movie-goers.

February birthdays will be celebrated by a covered-dish luncheon at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Bring a covered dish to feed six people, or pay $5 per person. Kristina Pantoja with Guardian Healthcare speaks about heart awareness.

A free hearing screening is from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Participants will be screened in the order they sign in.

A basic strip-quilting class by Laura Winckel is from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday. Bring a sewing machine.

The senior center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2205 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Killeen. Call 254-699-1717.
