Gilmore senior center sets events

  • Medicaid and Medicare the Advantages and Benefits presented by Enrique Rosado-Santiago with Medicaid/ Medicare starts at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Bob Gilmore Senior Center. This is an opportunity for attendees to ask any questions they have about Medicaid or Medicare.
  • Heart Health presented by Millie Henn is the topic for the monthly covered dish luncheon starting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. July birthdays will be celebrated. Attendees must bring a covered dish, enough to feed six people, or $5.
  • “Oz the Great and Powerful” movie starts at 12:15 p.m. Thursday. Popcorn will be served to all movie-goers.
  • Music appreciation starts at noon Thursday with Al Scott from Georgetown and Dr. Kott instructing on reading music and singing. Scott also teaches how to play the piano and Kott on most other instruments. Kott provides free lessons and private lessons.

The senior center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 2205 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Killeen.

Fill out required forms to take advantage of the free memberships being offered to people age 55 and older.
