National Sickle Cell Anemia Month is celebrating its 30th anniversary in September.

The Central Texas Sickle Cell Anemia Association is presenting a musical celebration known as “Central Texas Best — Part I and II.” Musical groups, singers, mime teams, praise teams, praise dancers from all over Central Texas will perform at these two events.

Event 1 is at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 in Killeen at Rivers of Living Waters. Pastor is Bishop Darryl Shaw.

Event 2 begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 28, at the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Waco. Pastor is the Rev. Melvin Petty.

These are free events, but a love offering will be accepted.
