Heights restaurant robbed at gunpoint

HARKER HEIGHTS — An unknown person robbed Black Meg 43 restaurant at 11:23 p.m. Thursday, pulling a black handgun on employees, according to Sgt. Roosevelt Wilson, Harker Heights Police Department spokesman. No one was injured.

The man fled the restaurant in the 500 block of East Central Texas Expressway on foot, after taking an undisclosed amount of cash, Wilson said. He was last seen wearing a blue jumpsuit and a paintball mask, and hadn’t been apprehended.

Black Meg 43 management declined to comment.

Police are investigating the incident, and encourage anyone with information to call the Harker Heights Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (254) 953-5400.
