HARKER HEIGHTS — Police responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a possibly suicidal man who had potentially overdosed on prescription medication at a residence in the 400 block of Clore Road, a Harker Heights Police Department news release stated.

After the man did not exit the home or respond to several police communication attempts, the HHPD SWAT team was called.

SWAT officers approached the residence, made contact with the man, and took him into custody without incident. No one was injured, and police have not released the man’s name.
