Injured KPD officer to attend Texas Rangers’ event

Odis Denton, a Killeen police officer who was injured in the line of duty May 9, will be a special guest at Globe Life Park in Arlington on Friday as part of the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day hosted by the Texas Rangers.

The event, organized by the Peace Officers’ Angel Foundation, will include a “tailgate party” with an officer vehicle display, honor guard detail and guests including Denton. Activities involving Texas law enforcement officers will precede the game.

The event is scheduled from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. at 801 Stadium Drive, Suite 101.
