Killeen ISD public information officer resigns from district

Killeen Independent School District’s chief spokesperson, Public Information Officer Leslie Gilmore, announced her resignation from the district Tuesday afternoon.

Gilmore, a 15-year Killeen ISD employee, was hired as the new executive director of Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children, a nonprofit that provides activities and camps for children with special needs.

Gilmore worked for the organization prior to joining Killeen ISD. Her resignation is effective Friday.
