A boil water notice was issued for Killeen residents and businesses in the following locations, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday:

402 to 413 Bryce Avenue

420 West Hallmark Avenue

701 to 1002 Houston Street

905 to 1017 San Antonio Street

406 to 411 Short Avenue

City crews will replace a fire hydrant and must turn off the water to complete the work. Water service will not be available from about 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. After the hydrant installation is complete, lines will be flushed and water samples will be tested.

Residents in the affected locations are cautioned to boil all water before consuming. Residents will be notified when the boil water notice is lifted, the city said in a statement. For more information, call (254) 501-6319.
