Bell County Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned two men on unrelated felony charges Monday in Killeen.

George Wayne Salter, 38, of Killeen, was arraigned on a charge of aggravated sexual assault. Salter allegedly sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl around May 30, according to an arrest affidavit.

Potvin set Salter’s bail at $100,000.

Potvin also arraigned Tyree Jerome Jackson, 22, of Killeen, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Police arrested Jackson on Friday, and recovered a baggie containing a substance that later tested positive as methamphetamine, according to an arrest affidavit.

Jackson’s bail was set at $20,000.
