Public radio station KNCT-FM announced it is temporarily off the air due to problems with a transmitter. The transmitter shut off early Tuesday and the station had been operating at low power. However, it has been off the air since about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

An electronic analysis of the transmission line and antenna revealed a problem area near the antenna. Station manager Max Rudolph said, “We will likely have to take the antenna down and do repairs on the ground before reinstalling it.”

KNCT-FM continues to stream online at www.knct.org. In the interim, the station hopes to be on the air soon at reduced power, which will reach the immediate Central Texas area.
