The Killeen Police Department is encouraging residents to participate in National Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 7.

The department urges Killeen neighborhoods to host events such as block parties, cookouts, contests and youth activities.

Call and register your neighborhood to get a visit from the police and fire departments and McGruff the Crime Dog.

To register your neighborhood or for more information, call Tammy Moseley at 254-501-8805.
