Many events this week at Gilmore senior center

Music Appreciation Day begins at noon Thursday at the Bob Gilmore Senior Center. Instructors are Al Scott from Georgetown and Dr. Kott.

Basic strip quilting class is from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday. Instructor is award-winning quilter Laura Winckel. Materials will be furnished for the first class.

Arm Chair Travel begins at 10 a.m. Monday to the ancient ruins and modern resorts of Mexico. View the ruins of Chichen Itza, home to the ancient pyramids dating back to the Mayan Indians.

The senior center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2205 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Killeen.

Fill out a form and become a member. Membership is free for ages 55 and older. Call 254-699-1717.
