Killeen police arrested a motorcycle operator late Monday night, after he led them on a chase through the city.

Police said the suspect fled after officers tried to stop him for a traffic violation just after 11 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of East Veterans Memorial Boulevard.

Police chased the suspect to the 800 block of North 46th Street, where he got off the motorcycle and ran. The suspect was apprehended in the 700 block of North 46th Street.

The police did not release the name of the suspect, but said he had an expired license and outstanding warrants. He is facing an evading arrest charge, a felony.
