GATESVILLE — Mountain Water Supply Corp. issued a boil order for some customers in and around South Mountain, about 4 miles east of Gatesville, after a water main broke Monday morning.

The order to boil all water for drinking, cooking and ice-making was issued to the company’s customers on U.S. 84 west of Barton Lane including Renfro Valley and Forrest Hills Estates.

The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil for 2 minutes, then cooled before consumption, according to the company’s website.

The company will notify customers when the boil order is lifted, according to the website.

A recorded phone message at the water supply office said the break was expected to be repaired by 5:30 p.m. Monday.

For more information, go to the company’s website at www.mountainwatersupplycorp.com.
