Killeen resident Derrick Leroy Kuykendall, 21, a suspect in an Austin murder, was arrested Tuesday night by members of the Bell County Organized Crime Unit, U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and Killeen Police.

Kuykendall was taken into custody without incident about 8 p.m. after he was located inside a residence in the 5800 block of Greengate Drive in Killeen, according to a news release from the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.

He was wanted by the Austin Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant in connection with a murder that occurred Easter morning.

Kuykendall was transported to the Bell County Jail.
