Scott & White on Monday announced it canceled a groundbreaking, scheduled for later this week, for a new clinic being built in Killeen. It released some details about the clinic.

Construction is underway on a 14,711-square-foot clinic at 4501 Clear Creek Road, a Scott & White news release stated. The facility will feature 24 exam rooms, two treatment rooms, and X-ray and laboratory services. It will offer primary care, women’s health services, and family medicine, including the care of infants and children.

Dr. Michael O. Kirkpatrick serves as the clinic’s medical director.

The facility is being built to increase clinic capacity to meet the primary care needs of the growing Killeen-area population. The clinic at 1002 Wales Drive is expected to relocate to the new location in March.
