Fort Hood officials released the name of a soldier Monday who died from injuries suffered from an all-terrain vehicle accident March 13. He was pronounced dead by doctors at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Spc. Eric Steven Bogner, 23, of Red Bluff, Calif., entered the military in January 2008 as a motor transport operator. He was assigned to Echo Company, 15th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, since May 2011.

Bogner deployed to Iraq from May 2011 to November 2011.

Bogner’s awards and decorations include three Army Achievement Medals, an Army Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, an Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, and the Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver Wheeled Vehicles.
