Outdoor burning extended until Monday in Coryell Co.

GATESVILLE — More rain over the weekend prompted Coryell County Judge John Firth to continue to allow outdoor burning for another week.

The temporary suspension of a county burn ban will continue until sunset Monday, Firth said, to allow residents to “mitigate future wild fires by burning off dead vegetation” while the ground is wet.
