Police were called to Copperas Cove High School on Tuesday afternoon to investigate what school officials called a “nonspecific threat.”

No students were evacuated from the school, but were instead sent early to a pep rally and dismissed afterward, according to a spokesperson for the Copperas Cove Independent School District. The school did, however, cancel after-school tutoring.

In December, the Cove district experienced at wave of 12 bomb threats at three schools, including Copperas Cove High School. Nine teenagers were detained by police in connection with those threats.
