Post IDs soldier who died from illness

Fort Hood officials on Tuesday released the name of a soldier who died from a terminal illness in Round Rock on Saturday.

Spc. Juan Pablo Aldaz, 30, of Orlando, Fla., entered active-duty service in February 2011 as a unit supply specialist. He was assigned to Foxtrot Company, Warrior Transition Brigade, since March 2012.

Aldaz’s awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
