The Copperas Cove Division of Emergency Management, in conjunction with the American Radio Relay League, welcomes residents to stop by the community room at the Copperas Cove Police Department from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday for an annual preparedness exercise for amateur radio operators intended to simulate emergency conditions.

Participants can see an amateur radio station in operation, and emergency management staff will be available to answer questions about emergency preparedness, emergency notification and what people can do before disasters occur.

For more information, call the Copperas Cove Fire Department at (254) 547-2514.
