Shoemaker High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning after a student may have threatened a teacher.
Officials closed the campus at 9:35 a.m. due to a “perceived threat towards a staff member from a student,” according to a statement from a Killeen Independent School District spokesperson.
KISD officials refused to elaborate on the circumstances of the threat. However, KISD spokeswoman Leslie Gilmore said no weapons were involved.
The student was removed from the campus. Any disciplinary action will be determined by the district’s code of conduct, Gilmore said.
The lockdown was lifted at 10:30 a.m. after KISD police and campus officials investigated the threat.
