Single-stream recycling begins April 15 in Cove

The city of Copperas Cove is implementing a new “Single Stream Recycling Program” beginning April 15.

The pilot area will include the following streets: Boland Street, Miles Street, Wayne Street, Connie Avenue, Hughes Avenue, Donna Avenue, Wanda Street, a portion of Dennis Street, Patricia Street, Henry Street, Aletha Avenue, Collins Avenue, a portion of Miranda Avenue, a portion of South Farm-to-Market 116, Pleasant Lane, a portion of Phyllis Drive, Tyler Drive, Timmons Drive, Whitney Drive and Tiffany Drive.

A town hall meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, 1206 West Avenue B, Copperas Cove.

Residents in the pilot area are encouraged to attend. Implementation of the single stream-recycling program for the rest of the Copperas Cove residents will be phased in over the next 2½ years.
