Temple College Dems meet today

The Temple College Democrats meet at 6 p.m. today in room 3415 at the Academic Center.

District 104 state Rep. Roberto R. Alonzo of Dallas will discuss current issues in the Texas Legislature, particularly those in connection with the Texas Education System, and starting up a local chapter of Mexican-American Democrats.

Alonzo, a member of the state’s Higher Education Committee, was the first Hispanic elected president of the student government at the University of Texas at Austin in 1978.
