Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp will be the keynote speaker for the Rotary Club of Harker Heights Foundation luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Central Texas College’s Anderson Student Center.

Sharp, who was appointed chancellor in 2011, has been in public service for three decades. A Texas A&M graduate, Sharp has been a member of both the Texas House and Senate, was elected to the Texas Railroad Commission in 1986, elected as state comptroller in 1990 and re-elected in 1994.

Proceeds from the luncheon will go to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

A limited number of tickets can be purchased at the door.
