Free pizza and soda will be offered, along with live music, at lunchtime Thursday at Texas A&M University-Central Texas.

Cellist Francis Leger and pianist Carole Lee will perform a selection of pieces in Bernie Beck Hall, which is in Founders Hall on the campus.

In addition to both musicians being internationally recognized, Leger is artist in residence at A&M-Central Texas, a conductor and cellist. Lee is a scholar, arts administrator and concert pianist.

Lunch will be served on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 11:30 a.m. The musical program runs from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Office of Research and serves as a preview of a concert to be given by the artists in February.

The university is at 1001 Leadership Place, Killeen.

The lunch and concert are free and open to the public.
