Active-duty military personnel can apply for tuition assistance to pay for their education.
The Army announced Friday that tuition assistance for classes that started on or after Thursday will be honored by Army Education. Soldiers with approved TA requests for classes with a start date on or after Thursday can attend their classes.
The program was suspended Oct. 1 due to the partial federal government shutdown. The suspension caused military students at Central Texas College’s worldwide campuses to miss out on enrolling in some courses and will cost the college between $2 million and $3 million in revenue, according to CTC officials.
