The westbound main lanes of U.S. Highway 190 in Killeen will be closed from 7 p.m. today to 7 a.m. Friday. All westbound traffic will be routed off the highway onto the frontage road using the Stan Schlueter Loop exit. Traffic will re-enter the highway at the entrance ramp just before the Stan Schlueter Loop intersection, according to a news release from the city.

This closure is necessary to perform lane shift activities for the U.S. 190/Rosewood Drive project. The closure will not impact eastbound U.S. 190 traffic, but motorists are urged to use caution in this and other construction zones along the highway, the city’s release said.

The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2015.
