A planned closure of U.S. Highway 190 today was postponed until Monday because storms are likely today.

Contractors planned to shut down the highway at the Willow Springs Drive bridge for 12 hours while a portion of the bridge is demolished.

The closure will now begin at 7 p.m. Monday, with crews diverting traffic onto frontage roads.

The highway will reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
