TEMPLE — A Temple woman reportedly shot several times Friday in an incident in which her 2-year-old son reportedly was taken by her husband was still in Scott & White Hospital on Monday.

Police have not identified her other than to say she is the wife of Vincent Corson, who was charged in the shooting.

Corson also reportedly took his 2-year-old son, Isaiah.

Isaiah was in his mother’s arms when she was shot, police said.

An Amber Alert was issued Friday for the missing boy, who was taken about 6:30 a.m. from an apartment in the 2400 block of South 13th Street.

Officers with the Dallas Police Department found the toddler in a car with his father near Garland about 12:55 p.m. Isaiah and his brother are being taken care of by family, said Cpl. Christopher Wilcox, Temple Police Department spokesman.

Corson, who also had an active magistrate’s order of protection out against him, was not extradited to Bell County as of Monday, according to Bell County Jail records.
