COPPERAS COVE - The Copperas Cove Independent School District board of trustees will have the opportunity to meet the CCISD superintendent's recommendation for the House Creek Elementary School principal during its regularly scheduled meeting tonight.

Larea Gamble of Sealy will visit the board of trustees tonight. Board members were encouraged to arrive early to talk to her.

The board also will consider and act to approve the district's strategic planning items - the vision and mission statements and district goals. The board and school administration have been working over the last few months to revise the items.

Also on the agenda is the discussion of future board budget workshops, which board members agreed could be held after the regular monthly workshop sessions.

The purpose of the budget workshops is to keep the board members abreast of the state budget situation as the legislative session unfolds.

The board will also hear a monthly and quarterly financial report and an elementary school construction update.
