Following an ongoing investigation, two suspects were arrested at a Gatesville residence Monday on charges of manufacturing or delivering narcotics.

Virginia Lee Miller, 52, was arrested and charged at her 19th Street residence in Gatesville after law enforcement from the Coryell County Sheriff's Office and Texas Department of Public Safety carried out a narcotics search warrant, a release from the sheriff's office stated.

During the search, several items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines were seized, along with between 200 and 400 grams of methamphetamines and items that tested positive for the presence of methamphetamines.

Waylon Lewis Dyer, 40, was arrested later that evening in connection with the case in the Gatesville Walmart parking lot.

According to the release, before law enforcement executed the warrant, Dyer was seen leaving the residence.

CCSO Chief Deputy Joe Blakely said items were found on Dyer that connected him to the case.

Blakely said the investigation, like many, stemmed from information from residents.

Blakely said he has not spoken with the investigator in the case, but he does not believe there will be any additional arrests.

"Sometimes the investigation will lead you to other areas and other people," he added.

Both Miller and Dyer were charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance over 200 grams, which is a first-degree felony.

As of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Blakely said the two were being held at the Coryell County Jail awaiting arraignment.
