COPPERAS COVE  — Children of all ages filled the big top last night for the Carson and Barnes Circus at Ogletree Gap Park, 878 Post Office Road in Copperas Cove.

The circus is in its 77th year of performances this year having conducted more than 30,000 performances to millions of spectators.

Elephants, tigers and the pygmy hippo, Katy, were favorites among the crowd at the petting zoo which opens an hour before showtime. Today’s performances are at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Adult tickets are $16 and children’s tickets are $10 or free when purchased with an adult ticket.

Children’s tickets can be downloaded from the circus’ website at www.carsonbarnescircus.com/circus-coupons/.

Advance online tickets may be purchased for $14 for adults and $8 for children.
