The Killeen Animal Shelter will drop its adoption fee for five days next week.

The shelter, 3118 Commerce Drive, announced that it would waive adoption fees for adopting dogs, cats or other animals Feb. 10-14.

Normally, the shelter charges $25 for nonsterilized animals or $50 for sterilized animals.

While the adoption fee will be waived, potential pet owners must bring a government-issued photo ID and sign a contract agreement to get the animal a rabies vaccination and to have the animal sterilized, if necessary.

For more information about adoption, and to see the animals up for adoption, go to KilleenPetAdoption.org, or call 254-526-4455.
