BELTON - A jury sentenced Terrance Damien Ford to 60 years in prison and a $250,000 fine Thursday morning, the day after he was convicted of possession of more than 3 kilograms of cocaine, in the largest cocaine seizure in Killeen's history.

The jury took 20 minutes to return the sentence, assessing Ford, 37, with the highest possible fine for the enhanced felony charge of possession with intent to deliver cocaine more than 400 grams.

"The jury set the cost pretty high today," Assistant Bell County District Attorney Mike Waldman said.

With two years already served at Bell County Jail, Ford will be eligible for parole in 13 years.

Ford was one of three men charged in connection with the December 2008 seizure of 3 kilograms of cocaine and 2 pounds of marijuana from an apartment in the 3700 block of Pak Court. Brothers Keith Lemar Warren and Kevin Lemar Warren will face trial together May 16, Waldman said.

The street value of the drugs has been estimated at $1.2 million. Police found several materials at the apartment that led them to believe Ford and the Warrens were cooking the powder cocaine into rock cocaine or crack.

During the sentencing phase Thursday, the jury heard testimony from a Bell County sheriff's deputy, who connected Ford to unrelated previous convictions in Georgia. They also heard from Ford's sister, Dion Ford Warren, who is married to defendant Keith Lemar Warren.
