SALADO - Three dozen classic automobiles rolled into Salado recently. They were all participating in the 23rd annual All-Texas Regional Lincoln and Continental Owners Club meet.

The event took place April 15-17 at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado.

"This car show brings the three regions together for a weekend of fun and fellowship between the members and their classic Lincolns. Most attendees drive from as far as Abilene and Galveston to attend the three-day affair," said Lone Star Region Director Pat Corbett of Machaca.

Some members have attended the event from its beginning to showcase their 1940s and '50s Lincolns.

The car show was open to the public on Saturday of the event.

"Member Don Ellis of Salado led the participants in a police-escorted parade down Main Street on Saturday afternoon and then along a 50-mile excursion through pastoral scenic byways," Corbett said.

The LCOC has three regional clubs, based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio-Austin.
