COPPERAS COVE - Two residents who police say stole a gun after one of them tried to sell drugs to the weapon's owner remained in jail Thursday.

Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned William Andrew Browning Jr. and Melissa Filiz Ozyesilova Wednesday on charges of burglary of a habitation and theft of a firearm. Bail was set at $17,500 each.

On Monday, residents living in the 400 block of Myra Lou Avenue reported several items were taken from their home, according to an arrest complaint. The residents told police Browning came to their door and attempted to sell them narcotics Sunday. One of the residents came to the door a handgun because they did not know who was knocking. After the residents refused the drugs, Browning asked about the weapon and said he wanted to buy it.

The gun was one of the items missing from the home Monday.

On Tuesday, police searched a residence where Browning and Ozyesilova were staying. A third person had the weapon and told police where to find it, the complaint stated. Police also located two MP3 players belonging to the victims in a closet used by Browning and Ozyesilova. Police also found pawn tickets for other stolen items.

Guinn also arraigned the following:

Chad Simeon Wiley on March 2, on a charge of possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces, in a drug-free zone. Guinn set his bond at $2,000.

Frank Calvin Jones Jr. on March 2, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.

Edward Barclay McDonald on March 2, on charge of evading arrest with a motor vehicle. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.

Marcus Sheldon Richard McApline on Saturday on a charge of continuous violence against family. Guinn set his bond at $5,000.

Charles Henry Oliver V, 24, on Sunday, on charges of theft from a person and possession of a controlled substance. Guinn set his bond at $18,000.

Tiffany Dawn Roviso, 25, on Tuesday, on a felony charge of criminal mischief. Guinn set her bond at $7,500.

Jeremy Patrick Graham, 37, on Tuesday, on a felony charge of theft. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.
