Killeen police charged a 23-year-old man with felony drug possession after finding multiple bags of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop.

Steven Dwan De’Mico Turner is charged with possession of cocaine, 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams. Police arrested Turner following a traffic stop on North College Street.

During the stop, officers smelled marijuana and later observed Turner attempt to hide a small plastic baggy containing suspected cocaine, according to an arrest affidavit.

Police arrested Turner and found a second plastic baggy in his pocket while being booked into the city jail. The total weight of the suspected drugs was 2.6 grams.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Turner Tuesday, setting his bail at $30,000. Turner is being held on a parole violation.

A burglary of a habitation was reported at 7:45 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Richard Drive in Killeen.

A burglary of a habitation was reported at 8 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of Wolf Street in Killeen.

Credit card abuse was reported at 10:31 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of East Avenue E in Copperas Cove.

Theft of a vehicle was reported at 10:54 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Gray Street in Killeen.

A burglary of a habitation was reported at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the 2600 block of Tracy Circle in Killeen.

An aggravated assault was reported at 1:58 p.m. Monday in the 2700 block of East U.S. Highway 190 in Copperas Cove.

A theft was reported at 4:57 p.m. Monday in the 2400 block of Meadow Lane in Copperas Cove.

A theft of a vehicle was reported at 10:05 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Northside Drive in Killeen.
