COPPERAS COVE — A felon on the run from Oklahoma was captured by police when he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Police arrested Marcus Stadelman, 53, after pulling him over on Saturday for suspicious behavior. Stadelman was seen driving behind Aaron Rents on U.S. Highway 190 after the business was closed. Police ran warrants on Stadelman and his passenger.

A felony warrant had been issued for Stadelman’s arrest on charges related to obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check and/or under false pretenses in Comanche County, Okla.

Justice of the Peace William Price arraigned Stadelman on $5,000 bond on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. Stadelman will be extradited to Oklahoma.
