A 21-year-old Arkansas man was arrested in Copperas Cove Tuesday on capital murder charges.

Chestly Wayne Gaston Jr., of Jessieville, Ark., turned himself in to police in Copperas Cove at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after unlawfully fleeing his home state last week, according to an arrest affidavit.

Gaston is one of three people suspected of being involved in the July 9 murder of a Dan Roberson, 71, who was found dead in a wooded area in Garland County, Ark.

Coryell County Justice of the Peace Bill Price arraigned Gaston on the charge on Wednesday but denied his bail.

Both other suspects are in custody in Arkansas.
